Just 90 minutes from the city lights but a world away, you’ll find us where the weather gets warmer as you head over the ranges. Nagambie is where ancient vineyards and streetscapes drenched in history intermingle with classic pubs and restaurants proudly presenting locally grown produce. Our well-loved country town is surrounded by award winning wineries, prestigious thoroughbred stud farms and miles of waterways along Victoria’s longest river, The Goulburn.  The town hugs Nagambie Lake, bordered by walking tracks, parkland, dining and accommodation and host to a range of activities throughout the year. 

10-15 minutes from  Nagambie Town

• Eighteen Sixty Wine Bar and Next Door Café. Hands down the best dining, lunching and breakfast stop with carefully selected produce, decades of experience and impeccably good taste. Try Next Door for coffees and toasties that make you swoon. 
• Nagambie Brewery and Distillery. There’s an open fire,  expansive decks overlooking the lake, drinks at golden hour, pizza with the kids and some top notch Gin
• Harry’s is a local favourite where you’ll find Harry serving it up daily. A go to for everything quick easy, tasty and homemade. And if you’re lucky you might get to taste the region’s best moussaka right here.
• Traffic Light – grab and go with the region’s tastiest roast chicken.
• Thai – fresh, fast and tasty for lunch and dinners – and takeaway if you feel like staying in.
• Botanical House is where you’ll feel good about yourself just stepping in the door. Lush greenery, potted beauties to take home and super smoothies and health juices daily. 
• Amanda Lou’s Sweets and Treats – a nostalgic, 50’s inspired ice-creamery and old school lolly shop that will take you on a trip down memory lane. Smiles guaranteed.
• Our local country pubs are a great pit stop and you’ll also find takeaway food and a bakery.

• Rebecca Baker Pharmacy – for everything you need and then some. For cuts and bruises, sunburn and all things health and beauty.
• IGA – our local supermarket has all the essentials.
• Nagambie Newsagency- your spot for papers and magazines to get you through a lazy weekend.  Stop for a chat with Anthony and get the local news firsthand.
• Hair-on-High is where Larissa can tame your mane or give you a natural blow wave to level up your style on your weekend away.
• Harvest moon beautifully curated design driven pieces includes clothes and homewares coffee table books cute things for the little ones  things you didn’t know you needed.
• The Corner Nook for handcrafted pieces, unique gifts and things to spoil yourself with.
• Sundries Too Numerous To Mention. Step back in time and fossick around for treasures including vintage furniture, bargain books, artwork and knick-knacks.

Local Wineries (15-20 minutes away)

• Mitchelton Winery. Award winning tourist destination, with Restaurant, Cellar Door, Gallery and Spa.. Head up to the look-out tower for amazing views of the winery and riverways.
• Tahbilk Winery. Award winning, five generation, historic, family owned winery with Cellar Door, Restaurant, Wetlands and Eco Trails. Tahbilk hosts Nagambie’s Farmers Market from 10am-2pm on the 4^th Sunday of every month.
